POLICE arrested three young people after responding to complaints about antisocial behaviour in the town centre.

Officers heard reports of young people behaving badly in the Brunel Shopping Centre this month.

The force has been working together to target the problem and catch those responsible.

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: "PC Johnson from Central South Neighbourhoods and PC Palmer from Response team two have worked closely to target youths acting in an anti-social way.

"As a result three youths – two aged 12 and one aged 14 – were arrested on January 10 for public order offences.

Swindon Advertiser:

"They have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

"Reassurance patrols have been continuing since these arrests and officers continue to work with partners to tackle these issues.

"If you witness anti-social behaviour in the town centre, call us on 101. "

People in Swindon have been complaining about antisocial behaviour in different parts of the borough. A public meeting in Moredon highlighted the issue and sought to find a solution to it.
