Dramatic pictures and videos taken by residents show a 'fountain' of water on Moredon Road as Thames Water workers try to fix another burst water main.
Moredon Road is now closed in both directions. It was the diversion route for Thames Avenue which has been closed since January 15 because of a separate burst water main.
Traffic is queuing this morning as motorists are diverted down Akers Way, Purton Road and Manor Road.

Thames Avenue was originally supposed to reopen on Friday but it is now due to open on Wednesday. The burst water main last weekend caused havoc as emergency services had to be called.
How's this for your travel report, @benpratershow Last week, a burst water main destroyed Thames Avenue, diverting traffic via Moredon Road. These photos are from Moredon Road this morning! Finally Swindon is getting water features courtesy of @thameswater pic.twitter.com/7UU2yYjbgp

A Thames Water spokeswoman said yesterday: "The leak on Moredon Road has been reported to us and we have an engineer scheduled to investigate this evening when traffic along Moredon Road will be much lighter than during the day."
