Driver arrested after police chase stolen Mercedes van
POLICE arrested the driver of a stolen van who tried to flee when he spotted them.
A spokesman said: "RPU intercepted a stolen Mercedes van that made off when it saw the marked vehicle.
"A short pursuit resulted in the driver trying to flee on foot but was then detained and arrested for multiple offences. Stolen van recovered."
