A BUS passenger made violent threats and racist remarks while travelling through Swindon.

A man got onto the Stagecoach S6 from Faringdon to Swindon between 12.20pm and 1pm on Thursday.

He went to the top deck and became abusive towards other passengers, and racially abused an 18-year-old man before threatening him with violence.

Some of the passengers challenged the man about his behaviour.

The man is described as white, aged in his 40s or 50s, wearing a green coat with fur hood.

Officers investigating the incident of racially aggravated public order are appealing for information and any witnesses to come forward.
