Covid map shows new cases falling in most parts of Swindon

The updated map uses data from the seven days leading up to February 14 to display infection rates for each area. In that time, Swindon had 1,522 new cases which was 662 (30.2 per cent) lower than the previous week, and 682.9 cases per 100,000 population.

Single-figure rises in Wroughton, Wichelstowe and Chiseldon, Central South and Eastcott, and Eldene and Dorcan are the exception as the rest of the borough and the towns on its outskirts have seen big drops in their new cases recently.

Central North has the lowest infection rate of 380 cases per 100,000 population. Shrivenham, Watchfield and Uffington tops the table with 125 new cases in that week while Walcot East had the smallest increase of 32 new cases.
