POLICE are patrolling the streets of Pinehurst this weekend after members of the public shared their fearsabout crime in the area.
Swindon Police posted onto social media about their activity on Friday to make people aware they were responding to these concerns.
The post read: "Earlier this evening PC Iwaniszyn and PC Kilburn carried out foot patrols around the Pinehurst area of Swindon after concerns have been raised by local residents.
"The patrol areas included The Circle and the Tree Courts."
Central Swindon Parish Council recently launched an initiative in conjunction with Crimestoppers in the area to tackle knife crime, drug dealing and other forms of anti-socical street-level behaviour.

The force also urged people to get in touch if they had any concerns about other areas of Swindon where police should be patrolling, encouraging them to comment below the post.
They received thanks from many members of the public, but several also said that police should be patrolling in as many areas as possible.
