A restored walled garden in the grounds of a listed 18th Century home is being used to help grow a collection of heritage tulips.
The five-acre grounds of Blackland House near Calne are usually off limits for the public, but they will be opening on April 22 as part of the National Gardens Scheme.
They have been developed over the last decade and feature natural areas, woodland planting, an old grotto and formal designs. Arne Maynard designed the walled gardens for owners Polly and Ed Nicholson who have Bayntun Flowers.
Tickets for the afternoon, between 2.30 and 4.30pm cost £10 for adults and need to be booked in advance. Visit ngs.org.uk for details.
