THE former home of landscape architect Michael Balston will open to the public on Saturday to raise money for the Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust.
The two-acre grounds of Manor Farm House at Patney near Devizes were used as a place to research good garden plants and sustainable ecology and have been updated over the past decade by the current owners Mark and Tricia Alsop.
Among the features are lawns, a meadow with spring bulbs, walkways and a formal vegetable garden.
Home-made refreshments are on offer. Admission between 2 and 5pm is £6 for adults as part of the National Garden Scheme. Visit ngs.org.uk for details.
