A MAN has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Swindon.
Richard Boyd is charged with sexually assaulting the woman at an address in the town in July last year.
The man is alleged to have told the woman “that he wanted her”, before touching her and kissing her despite the complainant saying no, prosecutor Keith Ballinger told Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday afternoon.
Boyd, of Tregonwell Road in Bournemouth, pleaded not guilty to the charge and requested summary trial.
Magistrates agreed that they could retain jurisdiction.
The 36-year-old was released on unconditional bail ahead of the trial at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on September 14.
Automatic special measures were put in place, meaning the complainant’s evidence will be in the form of a video interview, and she will be cross-examined via a video link.
