HEALTH inspectors have given a new zero rating to restaurant in Swindon's town centre.
Baban Restaurant and Takeaway on 96 Manchester Road received the lowest possible score out of five as Swindon Borough Council's inspection team deemed it unsafe for people to eat there.
Major improvement is necessary for its hygienic food handling, while urgent improvements are required for the cleanliness of the building and facilities as well as the management of food safety.
The Adver revealed the resturant had been shut down by appalled inspectors who discovered a cockroach infestation there.
Of Swindon's 261 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 208 (80 per cent) have the full five out of five while just two have no points.
