Choreographers and performers from South West England and Wales will be bringing a "specially curated evening of transformative dance" to Swindon.
The mixed bill show, Uplift, is part of Richard Chappell Dance's UK tour and will be taking place at Swindon Dance on Friday May 20.
The centre piece of the evening will be an extract from Richard Chappell Dance’s 'Silence Between Waves'. A performance that takes inspiration from Richard’s memories and experiences of growing up on the South Devon coast.
Alongside this, dance artist and climate and social justice activist Marla King presents her work 'Seedlings'. Set to music performed by live harpist Anna Philips,
Interdisciplinary movement practitioner, Billy Maxwell Taylor brings his latest work 'Rain Pours Like Coffee Drops', a movement meditation on an office world where it always rains.
The evening's programme will also see performances from South West based youth dance companies, showcasing the "next generation" of dance artists from across the region.
