A LORRY driver has been accused of killing a man after a fatal crash on the M4.

Shane John Davies is charged with causing death by dangerous driving after his Volvo articulated lorry collided with a stationary lorry on the hard shoulder of the westbound carriageway between junctions 15 and 16 on March 16, 2020.

The crash occurred at around 3.20am and saw the carriageway closed for large swathes of the following day.

Davies, of Compton Road in Skewen, near Swansea, was charged with causing the death of Craig Davies by dangerous driving.

According to reports at the time, the victim was the passenger of the stationary lorry, which had stopped while having a tyre changed.

The 48-year-old will appear at Swindon Crown Court on June 10, where he is expected to formally enter a plea.
