The empire strikes back as Darth Vader invades Lydiard Park for Jubilee event
VISITORS from a galaxy far, far away will be joining in the celebrations when Lydiard Park hosts a special three-day event for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
Pimms in the Park is dedicated to celebrating an empire of a very different kind but will be embracing its dark side with Darth Vader and his stormtroopers set meet the people of Swindon.
"Chewbacca on this," the event organisers said in a Facebook post announcing the Sith lord's presence.
"Pimms In The Park has used the force and Star Wars is coming to Lydiard Park on Sunday, June 5.
"Super excited to have MK Garrison join us for a fun packed day! come and get your pictures."
