LYDIARD: Swindon Borough Council has made a waiting restriction order permanent outside Tregoze Primary School.

The rule, known as Waiting and Loading Restrictions and Parking Places Consolidation Order 2021 (Variation No 8) Order 2022, introduced three experimental restrictions.

The first was to add school keep clear markings outside the entrance of Tregoze Primary School which prohibits stopping from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday on Sleaford Close, The second was No Waiting from Monday to Friday between 8am to 6pm on Sleaford Close.

Lastly No Waiting At Any Time restrictions are in place in the vicinity of the entrance to Tregoze Primary School on Sleaford Close and along both sides of Hay Lane from the junction with Grange Park Way.

The order will become permanent from May 24. A copy of the documents for the order may be inspected online at www.swindon.gov.uk/trafficregulationorders If you wish to question the validity of the order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirements of that act or of any instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the order, you may, within six weeks from May 18 2022 apply to the High Court for this purpose.

For further information, please email: TrafficManager@swindon.gov.uk WANBOROUGH: Drainage works for the Vistry Homes development will stop vehicles travelling along Wanborough Road between Poplars Nursery to Burycroft Junction. Traffic to be diverted via High Street, Callas Hill, The Ridgeway, B4192, Purley Road, A4259 Marlborough Road, B4006 Dorcan Way, Covingham Drive, Merlin Way, Wanborough Road and vice versa.

The road traffic order (reference STR000328 will come into force on June 6 and the work should be done by August 31 2022.

TOWN CENTRE: Resurfacing work will close Upham Road between Drove Road and Brixham Avenue.

The work will be phased and traffic will be diverted via the Drove Road/Cumberland Road junction.

The order (reference STR000336 will come into force on May 30 so preliminary work can be carried out on that day before the resurfacing takes place between August 1 and 5.

STRATTON ST MARGARET: Telecom works will stop vehicles travelling on Highworth Road outside the allotments between Supermarine Road and Quarrybrook Close.

Traffic to be diverted via A419, A361 Highworth Road, Supermarine Road.

The order (reference STR000339) will come into force on June 20 and the work should be complete by June 23.

WROUGHTON: A traffic order (reference STR000341) is being introduced to allow Thames Water emergency service pipe repair work and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Green Lane at the junction with Priors Hill.

Traffic to be diverted via B4005 Marlborough Road, The Pitchens and Bakers Road. The order will come into force on June 7 and the work should be finished on June 9.

TOWN CENTRE: Openreach BT will carry out underground cabling work on Crombey Street, closing the road to traffic.

Traffic to be diverted via Regent Circus, Clarence Street, Victoria Road, A4289 Bath Road, Eastcott Road, Eastcott Hill and vice versa.

The order (reference STR000342) will come into force on June 8 and the work will take two days.

CHISELDON: Work being carried out by Thames Water will close Butts Road at the junction with the High Street.

The order (reference STR000346) comes into force on June 27 and the work will take three days. Traffic to be diverted via A346 Marlborough Road, B4005 New Road and vice versa.

Another order (reference STR000352) will close the High Street Beechgrove between Station Road and Butts Road from June 29 to July 1 while more Thames Water-related work is carried out.

Traffic to be diverted via Butts Road, A346 Marlborough Road, B4005 New Road and vice versa.

NORTH SWINDON: Telecom works will stop pedestrians and cyclists using the designated paths on Elstree Way which link Lady Lane to Thamesdown Drive from June 13 to 17.

A diversion will be in place as part of the traffic order (reference STR000365) COATE: S278 works carried out on behalf of Lagan Homes will stop vehicles travelling faster than 30mph on the A4259 Marlborough Road between M4 Van Hire and Homington Avenue as indicated by signs.

This reduced speed limit will be in force from June 8 to July 27, according to the traffic order (reference STR000359).
