A WOMAN in Trowbridge wants permission to turn an existing garden store into a dog grooming parlour.
Mrs A Baines, of 81 Yarnbrook Road, West Ashton, Trowbridge, would like to pursue a new career path as a dog grooming and walking service "which has been an ambition for some time".
Mrs Baines and her family have recently relocated to the area, and the detached garden store in the property they have moved into has already been converted into a dog grooming parlour.
A certificate of lawfulness is now needed for the conversion and the running of the business.
The planning documents said: "The proposal does not impact in any way on the neighbourhood or surrounding environment and would fulfil the applicant's ambitions to lawfully run a small business within the local community."
It adds that the plot size is "substantial", and is ideal for walking and exercising dogs in a safe and secure enclosure.
It is set "very independently" from other houses in the area, and access to the property is off the main road. It is gated for security.
The converted outbuilding is a single story detached pitch roof structure rendered all round and painted white to match the existing bungalow.
