Organisers behind the 'UK's largest inflatable theme park' have issued a warning to Swindon residents after scammers attempted to hijack their social media competition.

The travelling attraction is coming to Swindon on June 18 and 19 and then June 24 to 26 and to mark its return to the town it has been hosting a Facebook promotion for free wristbands to people who like and share a social media post.

But this led to scammers approaching social media users to try and obtain their bank details.

A statement on Facebook said: "Please be warned there are scammers using a fake Facebook account trying to make out their us and messaging people telling them they're the competition winners and asking for bank details.

Swindon Advertiser:

It added: "This FAKE page is made to look similar to us with the same profile pic and the words Inflatable - Theme Park - Uk, We don’t have any '-' in our name, we don’t ask for bank details and don’t reply to customers comments and tags saying you’ve won, the genuine winner will have their photo posted in a status saying they’ve won on Sunday, please continue to like, share and tag at least three friends in our genuine pinned competition post."
