HAVE a look around the impressive interior of Swindon's newest pub.
The Strawberry Thief is now fully open for business after serving up a small version of its menu during the jubilee weekend while builders put the finishing touches to the £5 million building.
The Arkell family welcomed Swindon dignitaries inside and congratulated members of the design and construction teams who have spent many months working on the latest addition to the borough.
The Lord Lieutenant of Wiltshire Sarah Rose Troughton unveiled a plaque to officially commemorate the occasion.
The spacious pub is one of Arkell's biggest, with more than 400 seats. It is designed to look like an old barn which has been converted into a modern and inviting venue for wining and dining, with a large back patio providing views onto a vast expanse of open countryside.
This is the first pub built by Arkell's since The Tawny Owl 20 years ago.
