Covid deaths less than prophesied

To the iconic phrase "in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes" we can now add a third which is that whenever Steve Cowdry writes a letter its content will hardly vary.

His latest missive in which he pays tribute to his fellow europhile Steve Rouse is a case in point.

Steve Cowdry has proven over and over that he is anti Conservative and anti Brexit. He is strong on rhetoric but woefully weak on substance.

In Steve's view the ills of society can be attributed to one man - Boris Johnson.

I don't much care for Boris, and I despair of this Conservative government, but I recognise that they are in power following a democratic election when they obtained a majority of the seats in Parliament

Finally, Brexit is history, the decision made in 2016. The NHS has been the recipient of billions of taxpayer pounds, and Covid deaths were nothing like the over egged figures of the prophets of doom and gloom.

Social housing sell off won't help young

The Conservative government have proposed a new big sell off of social housing.

There are many people in Britain who think that the Right to Buy Scheme has been a disaster for the British working class.

The young generation are finding it increasingly hard to find an affordable home to buy or rent.

Millions of council houses have been sold over the last thirty years. This holds no advantages for the young generation of today looking for an affordable home.
