A family from Swindon is celebrating almost 40 years of working at Aldi between them.
Swindon store manager Riki Hill and his two adult children, Chrisie and Dom, have been praised by the company for their dedication after collectively working in various roles across the supermarket's Swindon stores for almost four decades.
Riki, 49 from Swindon, started working for Aldi in 1996 and 19 years later, Christie and Dom followed in their father’s footsteps.
After starting his career at Aldi as a store manager at the supermarket chain's Trent Road store, Riki moved into his current role as a logistics manager at the regional office.
Meanwhile, daughter Christie joined Aldi while studying at university in Exeter, starting as a store assistant before taking on the role of assistant store manager at the Romsey Street store in Swindon.
Riki’s son, Dom, also works for Aldi at the supermarket’s head office as a national IT technician after joining in 2016 and working in various stores across Swindon.
Speaking of his time at Aldi, Riki said: “Moving from my role as Store Manager to the world of logistics was quite the change. Working at Aldi has given me endless opportunities and support to find a job I’m passionate about and I’m so grateful for the varied nature of my work.
“As a dad, it’s important to know that my children both work for a great company with plenty of opportunities.”
Christie said, "Seeing how much my dad has loved his time with Aldi over the years made my decision to join the company easy. We are a very close family and are all passionate about what we do. Although our roles are very different, working at the same company brings us together even more.”
John Richardson, regional managing director at Aldi UK said: “Riki, Christie and Dom clearly have Aldi in the genes and we’re so fortunate to have them all working with us. We thank them for their continued dedication over the years and wish Riki and all the other Aldi Dads a very happy Father’s Day for this weekend.”

Construction on a new Aldi in a town just outside of Swindon began in April - the long-awaited Highworth store that has been in the works for some time.
When it is finished it will join six stores in Swindon and Royal Wootton Bassett, as well as the regional office and distribution centre on Wellington Road.
