A haulage firm has been fined after one of its drivers rolled a heavy goods vehicle over.
Wiltshire Police's Roadside Policing Unit was dispatched to the lorry which crashed near Upavon, past Marlborough, on Monday night.
After checking the vehicle's tachograph, £600 worth of offences were identified, with police saying the company that owned the HGV had a history of similar misdemeanors.
Tachographs record information about driving time, speed and distance. They’re used to make sure drivers and employers follow the rules on drivers’ hours.
Police also confirmed that no one was injured.
The Wiltshire Spec Ops' Twitter account, which covers firearms officers and the RPU teams speculated that tiredness may have played a part in the lorry rolling off the road.
The full tweet about the incident said: "RPU dealt with a HGV that decided to roll over in Upavon.
This particular firm is well known to RPU for repeated tachograph offences…. We wonder if tiredness had a part to play - that said £600 in tachograph offences were identified!
"Thankfully no one else was involved."
