Swindon's motorists will have five road closures to avoid on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a hold-up of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M4, from 9pm June 27 to 6am June 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 15 lane closures for surveys.

• M4, from 9pm June 27 to 6am July 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 15 lane closures for surveys.

• M4, from 9pm June 27 to 6am June 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4, junction 15 to 16 westbound, lane closure for electrical works.

• A346, from 9pm June 29 to 6am June 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 16 exit slip road closure for road markings renewal, diversion: continue eastbound, M4, exit, junction 15, turn and re-join M4 westbound, exit, junction 16.

• M4, from 8pm July 4 to 6am July 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound and westbound, junction 16 to 15 - lane closures for communication works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
