A Swindon man was arrested following suspicions of sexual communication with a child.
A 50-year-old man from Swindon was arrested on Friday night (24/6) on suspicion of engaging in sexual communication with a child.
Police stated that the man has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Data from NSPCC show that, in a survey with 2,275 young people aged 11-17 about their experiences of sexual abuse suggests around 1 in 20 children in the UK have been sexually abused.
Over a third of all police-recorded sexual offences in the UK are against children.
