ROADWORKS on a busy Worcester road are causing "chaos" according to concerned residents on social media.
Bromyard Road, in St John's, currently has temporary traffic lights in place to accommodate Severn Trent Water works.
It was suggested that there was nobody working at the site, with the automated lights causing major queues.
A tweet from a concerned resident said: "There is chaos at the temporary lights at Bromyard Road Worcester and not a workman to be seen to help.
"A dangerous backup of traffic at the roundabout is causing issues. Please send someone out."

Cllr Richard Udall, city and county councillor for St John's ward, echoed the opinions shared by the concerned resident.
He said: "More complaints about the chaos these roadworks are causing, the phasing is appalling and needs to change.
"Thanks, Worcestershire County Council Highways and Travel for going to help; but we need the system changed, the automation needs to be switched off and needs to be operated by a human being who can see the chaos.
"I suspect it's a phasing problem, they have just not got it right, hopefully, it can get it sorted out, we have enough problems on our roads without Severn Trent Water adding to them.
"It's even more frustrating when nobody is about doing any work."
Worcestershire County Council acknowledged that there was an issue with the lights and said that a team was heading to the road to resolve the issue.
It also said that the water main is now installed and will be sanded up today.
