A TOWN centre restaurant has suddenly closed.
Lamaya Lebanese Kitchen and Bar in Regent Circus is not open for business today and the lights in the windows are all switched off.
It is not possible to make reservations on any date in the calendar on the website and calls to the building go straight to voicemail. The Regent Circus website lists it as 'Temporarily Closed', and it is 'not taking orders at the moment' on JustEat.
The last post on its Facebook page was in early June, when it offered 50 per cent off all its food for one week.
This post attracted some interest and enthusiasm, and only a few months earlier - in February - the staff published a post saying how happy and proud they were about reaching the restaurant's second anniversary.
The post said: "We opened only six weeks before the lockdown shut us down, and we've worked so hard since to keep the vision of our restaurant alive.
"We will be here for many years yet to come."
The Adver has contacted the restaurant via email for comment on the situation.
