Well we scoured top rating website Tripadvisor to see those pubs in Wiltshire that are unrivalled in their popularity.

1. The Boot Inn

High Street, Tisbury SP3 6PS

This village pub built from Chilmark stone, has been run by the same landlord since 1976 and is a former local CAMRA pub of the year. It has been highly recommended for its friendly atmosphere and excellent food, which can be enjoyed in its outdoor spacious garden.

2. The Cross Keys Inn

136 High Street, Royal Wootton Bassett SN4 7AY

The recently refurbished Cross Keys is known as the oldest pub in town. It provides lots of tasty food and a great range of craft beer, real ales, cider, and gin. This dog-friendly pub also provides Sky and BT sport.

 

3. The Queens Head

32 High Street, Ludgershall SP11 9PZ

The Queen’s Head is a 16th century family pub and restaurant, located in the town of Ludgershall. The traditional pub features a large, secluded garden, with a children’s climbing frame. It provides home cooked quality food and is also an ideal venue for all occasions, with a real log fire, function room and skittle alley for hire.

4. The Black Dog Inn

Salisbury Road, Chilmark SP3 5AH England

The 15th century English pub can be found in the heart of Chilmark, in the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It serves a fantastic selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, alongside an excellent menu, featuring locally sourced ingredients. In addition, it boasts a large beer garden where you can sit and relax.

5. The Pewsham

London Road, Chippenham, England

The Pewsham has recently re-opened following a remarkable refurbishment, displaying a large outside eating/drinking area and underground heat source pumps. The family-friendly pub has a waterside location and serves delicious homemade food.

6. The Brunel

The Brunel is a friendly pub, with a welcoming atmosphere and is perfect for any occasion. You can also catch full coverage of Sky and BT Sports, as well live music and delicious food.

7. The Bell and Crown

The Bell and Crown is known for its historical features, such as the wooden ship beams suspended from the ceiling the original stone floors. The traditional pub, dating from 1350, offers plenty of space to eat and a range of unique signature cocktails.

8. Fancy B

Ermin Street, Marlborough,SN8 2JP England

Surrounded by beautiful countryside, Fancy B, is an independent family run Turkish restaurant and pub. The menu includes fresh delicious food, speciality coffees and a large range of soft and alcoholic drinks. You can enjoy a drink in their cosy bar area, or on a hot summer day sit in the beer garden.

9. The Hollies Inn

The Hollies Inn is an independent family run business, with its building that dates back to 1648. The pub offers a large range of traditional pub meals prepared in their 5 star kitchen, alongside a wide selection of draught and bottled lagers, ciders and cask marque real ales.

10. The Hop

7 Devizes Road, Swindon SN1 4BJ

The Hop Inn is known as a community hub, hosting artisan markets, comedy nights quizzes, live music, and exhibitions. It was established in 2012 and within a year had won a CAMRA award. It has plenty to offer, with sixteen beers on tap and great tasty food.
