Two more Swindon food establishments have received their latest food hygiene ratings.

Aya Sushi, a takeaway in the Great Western Outlet Village and Mamaris, a takeaway in Old Town, have both had recent visits from the Food Standards Agency.

The former, fell short of achieving a perfect five-out-of-five rating when inspectors visited it on June 23, only scoring three.

It was assessed as good in cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and generally satisfactory in hygienic food handling and management of food safety.

But the latter, at 57 Devizes Road, fared much better and achieved the perfect five-out-of-five score following an inspection on June 29.

It was ruled as being very good in food handling and good in the other two categories.

It means that of Swindon's 129 takeaways with ratings, 75 (58 per cent) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
