A Co-op store in Chippenham that was forced to close by a fire reopened yesterday afternoon.

The shop in Conway Road had to shut when a bin area behind the store was set on fire on Monday.

Two 12-year-old boys have since been arrested on suspicion of arson in connection with the incident.

A Co-op spokesman said: "Our store in Conway Road reopened yesterday afternoon following a fire behind the store which occurred at around 6pm on Monday.

"While the fire was contained externally, repairs were required including to damaged electrics, before the store could reopen again to serve the community."
