A SWINDON bingo hall was forced to close at the last minute.
Buzz Bingo in Greenbridge Retail Park had to shut unexpectedly on Wednesday night due to "unforeseen circumstances".
Earlier today, staff explained the reason for the sudden closure to customers via the business' Facebook page.
A spokesman said: "Due to circumstances beyond our control, due to a strong smell of gas last night, we are awaiting on engineers to ensure the building is safe for not only the customers but the staff aswell.
"Thank you for your continued patience, we will update ASAP."
UPDATE: The venue has now reopened.
A spokesman added: "We have had engineers out to check everything over and is all OK so we will be open as normal for tonight's session.
"Doors will be open from 4pm! Looking forward to seeing you all."
