SWINDON’S Designer Outlet is launching a big book club and hosting free events over the next few weeks.

McArthur Glen and Swindon Stories’ Big Read Book Club will will see the shopping centre host days of immersive magical storytelling with characters bringing the stories to life.

Saturday August 6 can enjoy Fairy Tale Trials as Red Riding Hood and the Not-so-Bad-Wolf evoke scenes from age old stories which everyone can join in with.  

On Friday August 12 and Saturday August 13, follow Follow Alice down the rabbit hole in a playful Wonderland adventure complete with Flamingo croquet! 

Find Humpty Dumpty’s pieces and put him back together with help from the Egg Soldiers on August 26 and 27, or try a magical storytelling session and wand-making workshop on September 2 and 3.

Centre manager Tina Cumpstey said: "wWe know how important it is for our younger guests to stay engaged and experience fun educational experiences during the school holidays. Visit the centre this summer and discover a world of imagination through reading."

Each event begins at 11am.
