A devastated art student and her mother are appealing to the Swindon public to help find her lost work.

Year 10 student Ellie Miles, 15, from Westlea thinks she left her GCSE A3 art book on the 154 bus at Ashington House on Thursday, July 21, and despite an extensive search has been unable to find it.

"I went home on the bus and sat on the top deck at the back where I put the art book behind me on a type of shelf," she said.

"I got off quickly at my stop, grabbed my bag, but left my artbook, something I’ve very much regretted since."

Ellie added that she faces difficulty completing her art GCSE and is also potentially going to miss out on doing a fine art A-level at New College.

Her mother Lorraine, 46, is now offering a small reward for its safe return and is urging members of the public to help.

"Our search has been extensive, every avenue has been covered. Lots of kind people have tried to help, but we're still no closer to finding it," she said.
