THE council is not happy with how a 'nightmare neighbour' in Park South has responded to a court order.

A judge ordered Lillie and Mark Goddard to remove a caravan from their Loxley Walk front garden by August 5

The mobile home - which is reportedly where Lillie and her mother lived - has been dismantled rather than being entirely removed from the area, so many pieces of its walls and windows are still strewn across the garden and part of the public green.

This has annoyed others living in the neighbourhood and not satisfied Swindon Borough Council.

Councillor Gary Sumner, the cabinet member for strategic infrastructure, transport and planning, said: “An injunction was made by the court which made it very clear that Mr and Mrs Goddard had to remove the caravan from their property, rather than dismantle it and leave it where it was.

“Clearly the remnants need to be removed as quickly as possible and we will be taking steps to ensure this is the case.”

Furious neighbours were left "stressed and upset" by the caravan - and were also fuming over a huge shipping container which had once been set up in front of the house.
