Police have provided an update on their investigation into the death of a newborn baby.
Detectives and forensic teams spent hours at an address on Holbein Close in Grange Park, Swindon, on August 1 after being called there by the ambulance service who attended in the early hours.
A police spokesman said on Wednesday: "Enquiries into the death of a newborn baby in Swindon are ongoing.
"A post mortem took place on August 8 into the death of the baby girl which happened in Grange Park on August 1 and has not confirmed a cause of death."
Police released a woman, 30s, on conditinal bail last week after arresting her on suspicion of manslaughter.
She was held at Gablecross police station.
Police said at the time they were treating the baby’s death as ‘unexplained’.
Detectives and forensic teams were on the scene for more than 30 hours as part of the investigation.
