1980: The Fox Inn at Highworth was such a landmark it gave its name to roundabout it stood next to.
An Arkells House since 1862, it was once two cottages but had been a pub since the 1840s.
When it shut in January 2015 it was the last hostelry in Swindon Street.
After that it was used as offices and flats until three years ago the brewery applied for planning permission to convert it fully into flats and houses.
