NOT everybody who headed out onto the roads at the weekend to enjoy the glorious sunshine played by the rules.
The Wiltshire Specialist Ops Twitter account, which provides updates on the county's Roads Policing Unit, featured a series of posts throughout the day revealing many people had been caught exceeding the speed limit.
At 1.01pm on Satursay officers with speed guns were in Hook conducting speed checks and a picture accompanying the Tweet showed that one driver had been going 39mph in a 30mph area.
A couple of hours later and officers were in Latton where a speed gun caught someone, who lived locally to the village, going 12mph over the 30mph speed limit.
Two hours later - at 5.16pm - officers conducting speed checks in Highworth clocked someone driving reaching speeds of almost 50mph in a residential area.
And a motorcyclist was caught red-handed going 112mph on the A4 Yatesbury at 7pm.
A spokesperson from Wiltshire Spec Ops said: "The bike had initially slowed down for the marked car before opening the throttle. The rider panicked and tried his very best to evade us but it’s not our first day and we found him hiding by someone’s drive, in the book!"
