Experts will be giving energy-saving tips, and answering your questions  on Swindon Borough Council’s Facebook page next week.

Representatives from Warm and Safe Wiltshire and Citizens Advice Swindon will be online to answer questions left under a post on the council’s page. The session starts at noon on Thursday September 8  at www.facebook.com/SwindonBoroughCouncil.

In addition, advisers from Warm and Safe Wiltshire will be on hand to offer energy-saving advice at two free drop-in sessions.

The first will be on September 13, from 1pm to 3pm at Penhill Community Café, John Moulton Hall, and the next day at 10am to 1pm at the Bakers Café in the Railway Village.

A borough council spokesman said: “The rise in energy prices from October, announced by Ofgem today, will clearly be a big worry for many households in Swindon going into winter and some are already struggling to pay bills.

"Leave your questions on the Facebook page and tune in on Thursday at midday to hear some top tips which might help you or someone you know.”
