A STORE that began life as sawmills is proving a big hit with customers looking for equine and other countryside related pursuits.

Honeystreet Country Store was established in September 2002 as an addition to the sawmills on the same site.

The business had supplied local equestrian and agricultural customers with fencing and timber for generations.

And when a local equestrian supplier ceased trading, Honeystreet Sawmills customers asked the owner, John Dunford, if he would consider stocking a wider range of equestrian product.

The shop has expanded gradually over the years and now stocks a huge range of animal and pet feeds, saddlery, country clothing, rugs and more.

It caters for the equestrian, shooting, walking and country market, with brand names such as Puffa, The Original Muck Boot Company, Pikeur and all the leading equestrian brands.

Recognising that quality and choice are what customers demand, this thriving business has experienced and well-trained staff on hand, to offer help and advice when needed.

In addition to feed and clothing, Honeystreet Country Store also stocks a wide range of tools and accessories needed for those little jobs around the house or stable.

More recently, the store has also started supplying a range of food - especially welcomed by those living or holidaying on barges on the Kennet and Avon Canal which runs alongside.

"If we don't stock it, we can get it for you" - that seems to be the motto at Honeystreet, where old- fashioned service goes hand-in- hand with quality and value.
