CHILDREN and staff at a Swindon pre-school are the picture of happiness, thanks to a supermarket.
Holy Family Pre-School, in Marlowe Avenue, Park North, was given £350 by the Co-operative Community Fund to buy two digital cameras, designed for children to use, a standard digital camera and educational toys.
Staff will use the cameras to take photographs to record the children's development and show evidence of the skills they gain.
It will also provide a memento for parents of their child's time at pre-school. The pictures will be presented to the parents before the youngsters move to primary school.
The pre-school's supervisor manager, Jadz Szuster, said: "We would like to thank the Co-operative for its support as these cameras really are a great asset.
"The children will use the children's cameras to take photos of what they have made and their activities.
"We will also put photos in an album each term so parents and children can look back at all we have done.
"The grant has also enabled us to buy toys to reflect the jungle theme we have this term.
"These are animal toys with magnetic heads which are interchangeable and a lot of fun."
