JAMIE Cox knows it may get dirty' in Cardiff tonight but is confident he can cope with anything thrown at him as he bids for an early stoppage Swindon's bright boxing hope fights David Kehoe in his fifth professional bout at the Cardiff International Arena and is expecting all the tricks of the trade to come his way.

Having lost his last 25 consecutive fights Kehoe is not expected to threaten Cox's unbeaten start to life in the paid ranks but the former Walcot man insists he cannot take anything for granted.

He said: "My opponent is going to be rugged. He will try all the dirties. He will use his head, his elbows, the low blows and blows to the back of the head but I am prepared for that.

"I have been sparring with a lot better pros at the moment. I have been sparring with pros at light-middleweight and have been holding my own.

"I am looking forward to it. No fight is going to be easy but I am sure I have got the tools of the trade to beat him. He will come with all the little tricks but I think I have the bigger tricks to beat him. I have been working on bigger things.'' Cox, who is sponsored by George White bikes, has so far only stopped one of his professional opponents but believes tonight could be an explosive display.

"I am predicting an early knock down come Saturday night," he said. "I am not going to put any pressure on myself but that is the belief I have in myself.

"You never stop learning. I am getting better all the time. I have a been pro about a year now. Frank Warren Sports Network have been very good to me. They have got me on all the good bills. I am on another world title fight this weekend.

"Frank Warren is getting me on all the big bills. I was on the first sporting event to be held at the O2 Arena.

"Good things are happening for me so I can't ask for much more."

A busy year is already ahead for Cox as he looks to close in on a Commonwealth title.

He said: "This is my last four-rounder before I move up to six. In May I fight on the Joan Guzman bill in Scotland in May. Then I fight in June again so I am going to be busy in the next few months.

"Frank Warren is getting me out and what more can I want? They are the best out there."
