A HISTORIC Swindon museum will be filled with Lego this weekend as a popular event returns for another year.

The Great Western Brick Show will be back on October 1 and 2 between 10am and 5pm to entertain and amaze crowds of families and Lego enthusiasts.

This will mark the 20th anniversary of the event and the 90th anniversary of the imaginative construction toy itself.

A model of the historic Swindon Works buildings will be among the attractions. It is expected to bring more than 6,000 people through the museum's doors over two days.

A museum spokesman said: "We can't wait for The Great Western Brick Show. It's the place to be for LEGO fans of all ages!

"Experience the multi-coloured and wonderful world of LEGO by yourself, or with friends and family for a truly terrific day out.

"Show partners Brickish, have worked tirelessly throughout the year to bring our visitors models, inventions, and ingenious displays.

"The LEGO creations - many on show to the public for the first time - can be found in Steam's spacious Great Western Hall as well as throughout the museum.

"Every year is different - so be sure to join us!"
