A Lego creator has brought the spirit of Swindon Works in the form of bricks.
Paul Robinson from Swindon exhibited his pride and joy at the Lego Brick Festival which was held over the weekend at the STEAM Museum.
It brought the chance for members of the Brickish club to come together to exhibit their creations, which is the adult Lego club.
The STEAM Museum is part of the old Swindon Works which was closed by British Rail in 1986.
The works manufactured iconic steam locomotives such as the Great Western King and Castle class.
Now Mr Robinson aims to recreate the work’s heyday when it was a thriving factory.
Speaking to the Adver, Paul said: “I live here in Swindon, ever since I’ve grown up Swindon Works has been part of the town.
“It’s a shame it’s gone, it’s not that long ago, people haven’t forgotten it yet.
“It (the layout) definitely feels like it’s where it belongs, it’s got a home.
"It’s been well received, people like that it’s Swindon and it means a lot more to them.”
The next stage for Mr Robinson is to improve the side elevations and to start to work on the interior of the works.
