SHOCKED neighbours saw armed police swarm their quiet residential street on Tuesday night after a person shot at a former Premier League footballer's house.

Speaking to the Adver, residents estimated seeing up to 10 emergency service vehicles appear at the scene after the 999 call came in at around 8.15pm.
None of the neighbours near the house said they had heard the gunshot which prompted the emergency response.
Some had been watching World Cup semi-final which saw Argentina knock out Croatia and book their place in Sunday's final.
Others recalled hearing police knock on their door and ask to look around their homes.
They added that seeing so many police on their doorstep was “unusual”.
Police stayed at the scene late into the night and returned the next morning before removing the cordon at around 1pm.
