EAGER shoppers queued up at Aldis around Swindon to snap up a new energy drink.

YouTubers-turned-boxers KSI and Logan Paul launched their Prime hydration refreshment earlier this year - and some buyers have tried to re-sell it for more than 500 times its retail price on eBay.

Up until now, Asda had the exclusive rights to sell Prime, and it proved to be such a popular product that the chain put a three-per-person limit on sales.

But as of Friday December 29, Aldi is now able to stock the drink - in similarly limited quantities.

One staff member told the Adver that long queues similar to those seen during the pandemic formed outside the Rodbourne branch of the retailer before the store opened.

Then, when the crowd made their way inside, all of the stock was sold within just 10 minutes.

It is not known when a new batch of the product will be making its way to the supermarkets' shelves.

In a statement, Aldi said: "The viral hydration drink created by two popular YouTube stars, KSI and Logan Paul, is available to buy for just £1.99 in Aldi stores nationwide on December 29.

“The drink will be a Specialbuy – and as with all Specialbuys, once they’re gone, they’re gone!"
