The following cases were heard in Swindon Magistrates Courts this month.

TOOTHILL: A 17-year-old boy indicated a plea of guilty to a charge of causing actual bodily harm.

The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, assaulted a woman in Swindon on September 16 2021.

He must pay £22 to fund victim services and has been given a three-month referral order to the youth offending team.

ROYAL WOOTTON BASSETT: Dr Mark Cowton of Ashton Road in Minety has been fined £321 for driving a tractor without due care and attention.

The 51-year-old broke the law while behind the wheel of an Agric Tractor on Noremarsh Road at the junction with Station Road in Royal Wootton Bassett on September 1, 2022.

Along with the fine, he received six points on his driving licence and must pay £90 in court costs plus £128 to fund victim services.

MOTORWAY: Marjus Hoxha, of Wyncliffe Gardens in Cardiff, has been fined after being caught speeding on the M4 in Wiltshire.

The 31-year-old drove a Peugeot 308 westbound at more than 70mph on September 12, 2022.

He received a £230 fine and six points on his driving licence, and must also pay £90 in court costs plus £92 to fund victim services.

MOTORWAY: Piotr Karpow, of Priory Road in Tiverton, has been sentenced for using a hand-held mobile phone while behind the wheel.

The 48-year-old broke the law while on the M4 near Swindon in a Renault Master on June 29, 2022.

He received a £220 fine plus six points on his driving licence, and must also pay £90 in court costs as well as £88 to fund victim services.

PARK SOUTH: A 13-year-old boy from Swindon has been given an anti-social behaviour injunction which will last for 12 months.

The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is banned from entering or remaining in the Cavendish Square area, and from throwing bottles or rocks or stones or cans of pieces of wood that could cause injury to anyone in the Park South, Park North, and Walcot estates.

He could be arrested if any of these conditions are broken.

PARK NORTH: Martin Leighfield, of Dulverton Avenue, has been fined for speeding.

The 63-year-old drove at more than 30mph on St Edith’s Marsh in Broxham on June 28, 2022.

He received a £72 fine and six points on his driving licence, and must also pay £28 to fund victim services.

MOTORWAY: Scott MacLean, of Syon Lane in Hounslow, has been fined £440 for speeding on the M4 in Wiltshire.

The 49-year-old drove a Volkswagen Transporter at more than 70mph on July 2, 2022.

Along with the fine, he received six points on his driving licence and must pay £90 in court costs as well as £176 to fund victim services.

EVEN SWINDON: Isiaka Olawale, of Padstow Road, has been fined £419 for driving offences.

The 44-year-old drove a Vauxhall Mokka along Paddington Drive on October 5 without having valid insurance or a valid driving licence.

She has been fined a total of £558, had six points added to her licence, and ordered to pay £90 in court costs plus £223 to fund victim services.

GREAT WESTERN HOSPITAL: Jounaid Ruhomain, of Armstrong Road in Oxford, caused a disturbance on NHS premises.

The 23-year-old refused to leave the hospital when asked to do so by a staff member on December 22, 2022, and caused a nuisance there.

He also admitted to beating a female police constable on the same day.

For these offences, he has been fined £307 and ordered to pay £100 in compensation to his assault victim as well as £85 in court costs plus £123 to fund victim services.
