MORE arrests have been made as police continue to investigate the circumstances that led to Swindon teen Owen Dunn being stabbed to death.

Dunn, 18, was killed while on the way to visit his girlfriend on Mazurek Way in Haydon End on December 4, sparking a huge reaction in the Swindon community.

A 14-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested and charged with his murder shortly afterwards and he is due to face trial at Bristol Crown Court in June after pleading not guilty.

Then, following a Crimestoppers appeal which launched at the beginning of March, offering a cash reward for help identifying two young masked cyclists who were seen in the area and captured on CCTV approaching Dunn at the time of his death, another teenager, a 17-year-old boy, was arrested and charged with murder.

On Friday (March 24), Wiltshire Police confirmed that two more arrests were made.

A spokesperson for the force said: "We arrested a 15-year-old boy, in the early hours of today [Friday] from the Walcot area of Swindon in connection with the murder of  Owen Dunn.

"In addition, we have arrested a woman in her 30s on suspicion of assisting an offender."

Both suspects remain in custody as of Friday afternoon and have not yet been charged.

Owen's funeral took place on February 3 and saw his family and friends definitely march alongside his hearse out of Penhill, before making their way to Kingsdown Crematorium where a large crowd of people had gathered for the ceremony.

His friends and family recently officially launched the Owen's World charity organisation, with a launch party at The Moonrakers pub which helped to raise £1000 towards the cause.

The organisation, helmed by family friend Joanne Gonzalez, wants to try and reduce violent crime in Swindon by encouraging young people to say no to carrying knives and providing them with a safe space to hang out off the streets.

But, as arrests for this crime stack up, Wiltshire Police say they are still investigating the matter.

"We continue to appeal for any information in relation to this incident," the spokesperson added.
