A beauty queen is hoping to put Swindon on the map in a global competition.
Sheri Harvey, 25, recently won a place in the prestigious final of Mrs Galaxy UK 2024, after previously winning the title of Mrs Wiltshire Galaxy 2024.
This means that she will be competing in the grand final in March next year against women from all over the country.
The pageant hopeful has talked about the honour of representing her hometown and county.
“I can’t wait to once again represent Wiltshire at the finals of Mrs Galaxy, I’ve always loved being in the audience every year and thought it was time to get up on that stage,” she said.
“Over the past 7 years I’ve proudly raised over £12,000 for various charities, most recently hosting a community Easter trail for the Swindon Food Collective.
“I have a lot more planned for the next two years to help local charities continue to support our community.”
The winner of Mrs Galaxy UK will travel to the Orlando, Florida, next summer, with contestants from all over the world to compete in the Mrs Galaxy International final.
Sheri added: “Before the glitz and glamour, I plan to use my title to its full capacity to make a difference."
