ACADEMIC talents of about 50 Swindon youngsters dazzled at a special event.
Dozens of Year 10 pupils showed off their skills and knowledge during the event at the Ridgeway School in Wroughton.
The day saw pupils from a number of different schools compete with one another in a test on a range of subjects.
Four schools joined the hosts at Ridgeway, including Commonweal and St. Joseph's.
The four-round competition consisted of categories in practical science, which challenged them to make a windmill, a Powerpoint quiz, a maths relay and an English stimulus contest.
Each school took two teams of five pupils to compete - and in the end the home team from Ridgeway triumphed.
Susan Pollock, a religious education teacher, who helped organise the event, said: "We've already had Year 8 and Year 9 talent days so it was now the Year 10s turn.
"We had some sixth form students helping out and it went really well.
"They all seemed to enjoy it and there was a lot of team spirit and a lot of team building."
