Police are appealing for information after a Mercedes driver hit one teenage cyclist was involved in a near miss with another before driving off.
The alleged hit and run happened on Cricklade Road at around 6.30pm on Monday, November 6, and left one teen with a knee injury.
According to Wiltshire Police, the two teens were cycling on the pavement that evening when a black vehicle pulled out of Londis convenience store to merge into the traffic.
“The car, possibly a Mercedes 2008 plate, made contact with one of the boys knocking him off his pushbike and causing injury to his knee,” said a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police.
The male driver did not stop to check if the teenager knocked to the floor was okay and instead drove off at speed before turning onto Beechcroft Road.
The teenager received medical treatment.
Now police are urging anyone who may have seen what happened or have information about this incident to get in touch.
