Firefighters raced to a block of flats after an apartment caught alight.
The flat at Baileys Farm Gardens on Buckhurst Crescent, Walcot, caught ablaze at around 4.45pm on Wednesday.
A ground floor flat at the complex caught fire, with several fire crews rushing to the scene.
No one was injured in the incident.
Footage from a bystander shows the fire engine at the scene with flashing blue lights while the fire alarm inside can be heard ringing out.

A spokesperson for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We received a call at 4.44pm yesterday afternoon with reports of a residential property fire on Buckhurst Crescent, Walcot.
“Crews from Swindon, Stratton (two) and Westlea attended the incident which involved a fire in a ground floor flat.
“Four breathing apparatus wearers used two hose reel jets and a safety jet to extinguish the fire.
“Our stop was in at 5.29pm.”
No injuries were reported as a result of the blaze in Swindon.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 17:00hrs on Wednesday 10 January to an incident in Walcot, Swindon.
“We sent one operations officer.”
