Renovation work is underway ahead of the opening of a new Swindon restaurant.
The former Frankie and Benny's in Greenbridge is being transformed by its new owners into what will soon be the second branch of a popular West Swindon bar and grill.
Earlier this month, the Adver revealed that brothers Scott and Luke Jacobs, who run The Ridge in Shaw Ridge, plan to set up a sibling site next to Fiesta de Cuba, which they also manage.
On Tuesday, February 13, they received the keys to the old Italian-American eatery, which closed in October, and have now started getting it ready to trade.
Photos published by the pair on social media show new seating and flooring being installed as well as designs and details being added to match the original restaurant.
Some of the former Frankie and Benny's employees have been retained and retrained to staff this new venture, which is expected to open during the first week of March if all goes to plan.
In anticipation of this, the West Swindon restaurant has been renamed The Ridge - West and the new Greenbridge one will be known as The Ridge - East.
