A police cordon was erected after reports of a possible unregistered grave.
Wiltshire Police responded to reports of a possible unregistered grave near Broome Manor Lane on Friday, August 9.
They have since confirmed that investigations showed the bones to be those of an animal - the species has not been specified.
The cordon was put in place to allow for enquiries but has now been lifted, according to a spokesperson for the force.
The spokesperson said: “Yesterday we received a report of a possible unregistered grave near Broome Manor Lane, which was found to contain animal bones.
"A scene was put in place to allow for enquiries and has now been lifted.”
